Meet Terry Daley-Stanley

Wood Artisan | Founder, Island Crafted by Terry

Terry Daley-Stanley

Terry Daley-Stanley began her woodworking journey in 2024, stepping into the world of wood artistry with no prior experience—but with an open heart and a deep desire to create. What began as a simple exploration quickly transformed into a profound passion, leading her to master a range of techniques and tools that now define her signature style.

From scroll saw artistry and precision CNC carving to detailed laser engraving and expressive lathe turning, Terry’s work reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. Each piece is created with care, often using locally sourced Virgin Islands mahogany—an iconic wood revered for its strength, luster, and historical significance in Caribbean life.

Driven by a newfound love for the craft and a strong sense of island heritage, Terry brings to life elegant pens, hairpins, keepsakes, and functional art that bridge past and present. Her designs blend the natural beauty of mahogany with refined artistry, honoring the spirit of the Virgin Islands in every grain, curve, and carved line.

Terry’s creations are more than handmade objects—they are personal tributes to resilience, beauty, and the joy of discovering one’s purpose. With every project, she continues to carve her place as a proud Virgin Islands artisan, turning raw wood into meaningful legacies.
