The Expo is a two-day activity which dedicates one day specifically for our youth. Public, private, and parochial schools are invited to attend. They will interact with Virgin Islands' finest woodworkers focusing on local woods such as mahogany, lignum vitae, mango, tibet, almond, and red cedar.
The Virgin Islands Woodworkers’ organization fosters and promotes networking relationships among woodworkers throughout the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean as well as national and international woodworking societies.
The Annual Woodworkers' Expo takes place during the month of December.
This presents a wonderful venue for purchasing one-of-a-kind Christmas, Kwanzaa or holiday gifts for your loved ones or your home.
There is no better place to see the best of the best than at the U.S. Virgin Islands Woodworkers' Expo. You will experience a wide variety of creative and spiritual designs, wood turning, cabinetry, furniture making, sculpturing, carving, and arts and crafts.
The purpose of the Expo is to promote the art of fine woodworking in the U.S. Virgin Islands through education and demonstrations focused on sharing the knowledge, skill and experience.
Youth are provided with hands-on opportunities to experience basic equipment and techniques in woodworking. Community outreach
activities involve schools and youth groups that are interested in woodworking.
These groups may request hands-one demonstrations or classes which will be facilitated by the woodworkers' organization on their respective island.
